Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Applied Scientific and Natural Studies (JASNS), published by Scholar Club (Pvt) Ltd, follows a strict double-blind peer review process to ensure the integrity, quality, and scientific validity of all published research. The journal is committed to maintaining high academic standards and promoting credible scholarly communication in applied sciences and natural studies.

1. Review Model

JASNS operates under a double-blind peer review system, where:

  • The identity of authors is concealed from reviewers
  • The identity of reviewers is concealed from authors

This ensures that all submissions are evaluated solely on the basis of scientific merit, originality, and research quality, without any bias.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial office to assess:

  • Relevance to applied sciences and natural studies
  • Compliance with journal formatting and submission guidelines
  • Academic structure and clarity
  • Plagiarism and similarity check

Manuscripts that fail to meet the basic requirements may be rejected at the desk review stage without external peer review.

3. External Peer Review Process

Manuscripts that pass initial screening are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers with relevant subject expertise.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and novelty of research
  • Scientific methodology and experimental design
  • Accuracy and reliability of results
  • Interpretation and discussion of findings
  • Contribution to applied and natural sciences
  • Quality of references and academic writing

Based on reviewer feedback, the editorial team makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revisions
  • Major Revisions
  • Reject

4. Review Timeline

JASNS is committed to an efficient publication process. The average review timeline is:

  • 2 to 4 weeks for initial review feedback
  • Additional time may be required depending on revision requirements and author response

5. Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all manuscripts
  • Identify relevant missing references or scientific gaps
  • Report any ethical issues, plagiarism, or data concerns
  • Declare and avoid conflicts of interest

6. Editorial Decision

Final publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editorial board member, based on reviewer recommendations. The decision is final and ensures fairness, academic quality, and scientific integrity.

7. Confidentiality and Ethics

All manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Editors and reviewers must not use unpublished material for personal research or disclose it to unauthorized persons.

8. Commitment to Fair Review

JASNS is committed to ensuring that all manuscripts are evaluated fairly, without discrimination based on nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, or personal background. The journal upholds transparency, integrity, and scientific ethics throughout the publication process.
