Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Clinical and Experimental Health Sciences Studies (JCEHSS) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of scientific quality, ethical integrity, and academic credibility in clinical and health sciences research.

The journal is committed to publishing reliable, evidence-based research that contributes to advancements in clinical practice, experimental medicine, and public health sciences.

1. Review Model

JCEHSS operates a double-blind peer review system, in which:

  • The identities of authors are concealed from reviewers
  • The identities of reviewers are concealed from authors

This ensures that all manuscripts are evaluated objectively based solely on scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, and relevance to health sciences.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial assessment by the editorial office to determine:

  • Relevance to clinical, experimental, and health sciences
  • Compliance with journal submission guidelines
  • Scientific structure and clarity of presentation
  • Plagiarism and similarity index screening
  • Basic ethical compliance requirements

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s standards may be rejected at the desk review stage without external peer review.

3. External Peer Review Process

Manuscripts passing initial screening are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers with relevant subject expertise in clinical or health sciences.

Reviewers evaluate submissions based on:

  • Originality and scientific contribution
  • Study design and methodological rigor
  • Accuracy of data collection and analysis
  • Validity of results and interpretation
  • Clinical relevance and practical implications
  • Quality of literature review and referencing

Based on reviewer feedback, the editorial decision may be:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

4. Review Timeline

JCEHSS aims to ensure a timely and efficient review process:

  • 2 to 4 weeks for initial peer review feedback
  • Additional time may be required depending on revision complexity and author responsiveness

5. Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide objective, scientific, and constructive feedback
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts
  • Identify missing citations or relevant prior studies
  • Report any ethical concerns, plagiarism, or data inconsistencies
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest and decline review if necessary

6. Editorial Decision

Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editorial board member, based on reviewer recommendations and editorial evaluation. The decision is final and ensures fairness, transparency, and scientific integrity.

7. Confidentiality and Ethics

All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential. Editors and reviewers are strictly prohibited from using unpublished data or ideas for personal research or sharing them with unauthorized individuals.

8. Commitment to Ethical Review

JCEHSS is committed to maintaining ethical publishing practices and ensures that all submissions are evaluated without discrimination based on nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, or personal background.
