Archiving Policy

Open Access Commitment

PJTAM is dedicated to advancing the dissemination of high-quality translational and applied medical research through an open access publishing model. All articles published in PJTAM are:

  • Freely accessible online, with no subscription or access fees

  • Available for non-commercial reuse, in alignment with our licensing terms

  • Indexed, archived, and preserved for long-term global availability

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0), which allows users to:

Read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to full-text articles
Not use the material for commercial purposes
Not alter or remix the original work
Credit the original authors and PJTAM in all citations

This approach enhances the accessibility of medical research while maintaining the scientific integrity of scholarly work.

Open Archiving Policy

PJTAM maintains a robust digital archiving policy to ensure permanent availability and discoverability of its published content. All articles are:

  • Archived in secure and reputable open-access digital repositories

  • Available in PDF and other standardized formats

  • Indexed by national and international databases to increase visibility

Designated archiving platforms include:

  • LOCKSS/CLOCKSS (in process)

  • PKP Preservation Network (PN)

  • Institutional repositories upon request

This ensures that PJTAM articles remain accessible for future generations, even in the event of technological or organizational changes.

Self-Archiving & Author Rights

PJTAM fully supports green open access and empowers authors to share their work freely.

Authors are permitted and encouraged to self-archive:

  • Pre-print versions (before peer review)

  • Post-print versions (after peer review, before final typesetting)

  • Final published versions (as hosted on the PJTAM website)

Authors may deposit these versions in:

  • Personal or institutional websites

  • Digital repositories (e.g., PubMed Central, ResearchGate)

  • National databases or thesis repositories

No prior permission is required for self-archiving, provided:

  • The original article is properly cited

  • A link to the official PJTAM version is included

  • The article is not used for commercial purposes

Authors retain full copyright of their work and grant PJTAM a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute it.

Ethical Standards

PJTAM adheres to the ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

We ensure that all publication practices:

  • Maintain editorial transparency

  • Uphold research integrity and academic fairness

  • Support ethical peer review, authorship, and conflict of interest resolution

This archiving policy reflects PJTAM’s mission to support open, sustainable, and responsible medical publishing for the benefit of both the local and global research communities.
