Editorial Process

The Journal of Biological, Environmental, and Agricultural Insights (JBEAI) follows a structured, transparent, and rigorous editorial process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and ethically sound research.

1. Submission and Initial Evaluation

Scope and Relevance
Manuscripts must align with the journal’s focus on biological, environmental, and agricultural sciences. Authors are encouraged to review the Aims and Scope before submission.

Plagiarism Screening
All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin). JBEAI enforces a maximum 19% similarity threshold. Manuscripts exceeding this limit may be returned or rejected.

Formatting Requirements
Submissions must follow the Author Guidelines, including proper structure, formatting, references (APA style), and ethical declarations.

2. Peer Review Process

Double-Blind Review
JBEAI adopts a double-blind peer review system where both author and reviewer identities remain confidential. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts.

Reviewer Selection
Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise, research background, and absence of conflicts of interest. They are expected to provide objective and constructive feedback.

Review Timeline
Reviewers are generally expected to submit their evaluations within 2–4 weeks, ensuring timely processing of manuscripts.

3. Editorial Decision-Making

Decision Outcomes
Based on reviewer feedback, the editorial team may decide to:

  • ✅ Accept

  • ✏️ Request minor or major revisions

  • ❌ Reject

Revisions and Resubmission
Authors must address all reviewer comments clearly and resubmit within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may undergo further review if required.

Appeals
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a formal request with justification. Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or an independent editorial member.

4. Ethical Standards and Responsibilities

Authorship Criteria
All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research. The corresponding author ensures that all co-authors approve the final submission.

Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the review or publication process.

Research Ethics
Studies involving humans, animals, or environmental impact must include appropriate ethical approval and compliance statements.

5. Post-Publication Policy

Corrections and Retractions
In case of errors or ethical concerns, the journal may issue:

  • Erratum (publisher corrections)

  • Corrigendum (author corrections)

  • Retraction (for invalid or unethical research)

Archiving and Preservation
All published articles are securely archived to ensure long-term accessibility and citation continuity.
