Editorial Guidelines

Introduction

The International Journal of Business, Management & Financial Insight (IJBMFI) is dedicated to academic excellence, ethical conduct, and editorial transparency throughout the publishing process. These guidelines provide a clear framework for authors, editors, and reviewers to ensure that the journal maintains its standards in a fair, consistent, and professional manner.

1. Submission and Preliminary Evaluation

Scope and Relevance
IJBMFI publishes original research that meaningfully contributes to business, management, finance, and related disciplines. Authors should consult the journal’s Aims and Scope to ensure alignment before submission.

Plagiarism and Originality Screening
All manuscripts undergo plagiarism checks using reputable software. IJBMFI enforces a strict threshold of 10%, with limited tolerance up to 19% in accordance with HEC guidelines. Manuscripts exceeding this limit may be rejected or returned for revision.

Manuscript Formatting
Submissions must follow the journal’s Author Guidelines, including:

  • Title and full author details

  • Abstract (150–250 words) and keywords

  • Main body structured according to article type

  • References in APA style (latest edition)

  • Relevant figures, tables, or appendices (if applicable)

Licensing Agreement
By submitting, authors agree to publish under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0), allowing others to download and share the work with proper citation, without modification or commercial use.

2. Peer Review Policy

Review Model: Double-Blind
IJBMFI uses a double-blind peer review system. Both author and reviewer identities remain confidential to ensure objective evaluation.

Reviewer Selection
Reviewers are chosen based on subject expertise, research credentials, and independence from authors. Editors ensure no conflicts of interest exist.

Timelines
The standard review period is 4–6 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and manuscript complexity. The editorial team strives for a timely and transparent process.

Confidentiality
All manuscripts and communications are treated as confidential. Reviewers and editors must not disclose or use any information for personal or professional gain.

3. Editorial Decision-Making

Editorial Outcomes
Based on reviewer feedback and editorial evaluation, decisions may include:

  • Accept (as is)

  • Minor revisions required

  • Major revisions required (revise and resubmit)

  • Reject

Authors receive clear communication along with reviewer comments and editorial instructions.

Revision Protocol
Authors are given a defined timeframe to submit revisions, accompanied by a detailed response letter outlining changes made.

Appeals Process
Authors may appeal editorial decisions with a written justification. Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and may involve consultation with an independent expert. Final decisions are binding.

4. Ethical Standards and Responsibilities

Authorship Criteria
All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the research and approved the final version. The corresponding author is responsible for communication and consent among co-authors.
