Editorial Process

Turing Ledger Journal of Engineering & Technology (TLJET)

At TLJET, we are committed to a transparent, ethical, and scientifically rigorous editorial process. Every manuscript undergoes a structured review process to ensure adherence to the highest standards of research quality, technical accuracy, and engineering relevance. Below is a detailed overview of the editorial workflow, from submission to publication.

1. Manuscript Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted via the official TLJET online portal:
???? https://scholarclub.org/index.php/TLJET

Authors are required to ensure full compliance with the journal’s formatting, technical, and ethical requirements as outlined in the Author Guidelines.

2. Initial Screening and Plagiarism Check

Upon receipt, the Editorial Office conducts a preliminary evaluation to ensure the manuscript:

  • Falls within the scope of TLJET (engineering, technology, applied sciences)

  • Meets basic formatting and ethical standards

  • Undergoes a plagiarism check (using Turnitin or equivalent)

???? Manuscripts with a similarity index above 10% may be returned or rejected without review.

3. Assignment to Section Editor

If the manuscript passes initial screening, it is assigned to a Section Editor or Associate Editor with relevant expertise. The assigned editor evaluates:

  • Novelty and originality

  • Technical accuracy

  • Relevance to engineering and technology

  • Clarity of problem formulation and contribution

4. Double-Blind Peer Review

Eligible manuscripts enter the double-blind peer review process. Both author and reviewer identities are kept anonymous. At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and technical contribution

  • Methodology and experimental setup

  • Engineering/scientific validity

  • Data quality and analysis

  • Practical applications and innovation

  • Ethical compliance (if applicable)

5. Reviewer Recommendations

Reviewers submit their decision with a detailed report, choosing from the following outcomes:

Accept without revisions
✏️ Accept with minor revisions
???? Major revisions required (revise and resubmit)
Reject

6. Editorial Decision

The Section Editor, in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief (if needed), makes the final decision based on the reviewers’ feedback. The corresponding author receives a decision letter along with anonymized reviewer comments and revision instructions (if applicable).

7. Author Revisions

Authors must submit a revised manuscript within the assigned deadline, including a point-by-point response to all reviewer comments. Based on the revision:

  • The manuscript may be returned to reviewers

  • Or re-evaluated by the editorial board directly

8. Final Acceptance

If all concerns are satisfactorily addressed, the editorial team grants final acceptance. The manuscript is then queued for copyediting and production.

9. Copyediting and Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts are professionally copyedited for:

  • Language clarity and grammar

  • Formatting and layout consistency

  • Reference formatting and citation compliance

Final proofs are sent to authors for approval before publication.

10. Online Publication

The finalized article is published in the next available issue of TLJET and made immediately open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

11. Post-Publication Promotion

To increase visibility and academic impact, TLJET actively promotes published research through:

  • Academic indexing and repositories

  • Engineering networks and research forums

  • Social media, citation alerts, and email newsletters

  • Collaborative academic partnerships

???? Authors are encouraged to share their published work to enhance discoverability and citation potential.
