Information For Librarians

The Journal of Language, Literature & Social Affairs (JLLSA) is committed to supporting academic libraries in their mission to provide quality research resources to their users. We welcome collaboration with university, college, and institutional libraries to ensure open and long-term access to scholarly content in the fields of language, literature, and social sciences.

1. Open Access Policy

  • JLLSA is a fully open-access journal, meaning all content is freely available online to users without registration, subscription, or paywalls.
  • The journal is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0), which permits non-commercial sharing and usage with proper attribution and without modification.

2. Archiving and Institutional Inclusion

Librarians are encouraged to:

  • Include JLLSA in their institution's electronic journal collections or academic databases.
  • Harvest metadata and article content through OAI-PMH-compatible systems or RSS feeds, where available.
  • Archive issues and articles in institutional repositories or digital library systems for long-term preservation, following green open access policies.

3. Linking and Cataloguing

  • The journal can be catalogued in library databases and electronic resources portals.
  • Persistent identifiers such as DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) are assigned to articles to ensure permanent linking and easy access.
  • Librarians may link to the journal's homepage or directly to specific volumes/issues using stable URLs.

4. Metadata and Indexing Support

JLLSA provides:

  • Standardized bibliographic metadata (including title, author(s), abstract, keywords, and references).
  • Compatibility with major indexing services and academic databases.
  • Support for integration with discovery tools such as EBSCO, ProQuest, Google Scholar, and institutional search engines.

5. Promotion of Scholarly Access

Librarians are encouraged to:

  • Promote JLLSA to faculty, students, and researchers in relevant departments (e.g., English, Linguistics, Literature, Cultural Studies, Social Sciences).
  • Add journal details to library guides, research portals, and subject-specific databases.
  • Share JLLSA’s Call for Papers and publication opportunities with academic staff and research groups.
